Preston-Taylor Community Health Centers won Mission Mobile Medical’s national competition for a donated mobile clinic. More than 600 organizations expressed interest, and eligible applicants were reviewed through a scored selection process.
The West Virginia health center plans to use the clinic to provide school-based services across five public schools in Taylor County, reaching approximately 2,000 students each year. Planned services include preventive care, behavioral health support, chronic disease management, and dental screenings.
Preston-Taylor was selected for its experience operating community-based care, readiness to deploy the clinic, and plan to begin services during the coming school year.
The health center also plans to track utilization, student health outcomes, and changes in avoidable emergency department use.
