Virginia has mobile-specific requirements for both dental and medical care.
Dental
Mobile-specific requirements identifiedVirginia requires registration unless an exception applies. Va. Code § 54.1-2708.3 excludes government-operated clinics; federally qualified health center mobile dental clinics with a dental component serving within 30 miles of the federally qualified health center; qualifying 501(c)(3) free or safety-net clinics serving within 30 miles; and clinics serving nonambulatory people in the listed institutional or home settings.
Other Board-defined exceptions require separate rule review. Covered operations must meet application, follow-up, communication, equipment, and reporting requirements. An exemption from clinic registration does not waive individual professional obligations.
