Texas has mobile-specific requirements for both dental and medical care.
Dental
Mobile-specific requirements identified22 TAC § 108.40 requires a permit for mobile dental facilities and covered portable dental operations. The exceptions in subsection (b) concern portable instruments and equipment taken out of a dental office. They include emergency treatment, patients of record, nursing or convalescent facility residents, irregular uncompensated treatment, qualifying permitted portable anesthesia, and work in another licensed dentist’s office.
Do not apply those portable-equipment exceptions automatically to a self-contained mobile dental facility. Confirm current renewal fees and reporting deadlines with the Board.

Medical
Mobile-specific requirements identifiedTexas requires authorization before beginning mobile x-ray service in the healing arts. Applicants must identify a main location, describe the operating configuration and shielding, and submit operating and safety procedures. This is a radiation-service rule, not a general mobile clinic license.
