It covers preventive or restorative care delivered from a mobile clinic or with portable equipment. The associated dentist’s permanent office must participate in Medicaid, retain diagnostic material and charts, accept mobile patients, and provide continuing care.
The enacted mileage limit is 30 miles from that office, extended to 50 miles for mobile clinics located in New London, Litchfield, or Windham counties. This is a reimbursement condition. Confirm current reimbursement conditions with Connecticut Medicaid before providing or billing for services.
