Abstract

This quality improvement project implemented developmental screening in a nurse-led mobile health unit in rural Tennessee. Of 52 children ages 1-66 months, 19.2% had a positive ASQ-3 screen, consistent with national rates. All positively screened children received referrals for further evaluation. This project demonstrated feasibility of integrating developmental screening in a mobile health unit to improve early identification of developmental delays.
