THE OPPORTUNITY: Director of Business Development - Southeast Region
The Director of Business Development is a pioneering leadership level role wholly responsible for managing the work required to find and promote new partnerships for an innovative class of mobile medical and mobile dental care clinics.
The enthusiastic and detailed-oriented leader will work closely with our team on outreach, partnership, contracts, and delivery in the Mobile Healthcare Clinic market. The focus will be primarily on diesel platforms with a rapid transition to hybrid and fully electric vehicles by 2023.
Candidates should have experience working successfully in small teams focused on fast-paced product development.

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
100% positive net-promoter score among contacts
Accepting, analyzing and a solution presentation for 100% of inbound leads
Transparently executing the Mission Mobile Medical Sales Process
Maintaining a net positive annual client development score in your region
Producing and presenting costs, availability and technical data
Develop sales and marketing strategies, goals, and action plans for the region
Develop and execute on a sales & marketing budget
Prepare updates and communicate status to others in company leadership
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work will typically be performed in a fully-independent environment with significant work-from-home opportunities.
Work will be on collaborative, challenging projects that offer the opportunity to learn and grow your engineering expertise and have fun in the process.
Travel (up to 50%) will be required for customer and supplier meetings, off-site training, off-site testing, and attendance at industry conferences.
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is a Leadership role
Directly involved in the Profit & Loss of the business. This includes not only sales negotiating budget responsibility, planning, and execution of sales & marketing purchases.
Regular, open and honest communication
Participate in interviewing and selection of qualified candidates during the hiring process for Engineering Technicians & other team members
Cultivate and maintain productive supplier relationships
Assist with the development of processes, systems, and performance goals for the Engineering & Design department as a whole
Create and execute action plans associated with those goals.
SALARY & BENEFITS
Starting Salary: $50k - $75K plus Commission plus quarterly profit-sharing bonus
Benefits include flex-time, work-from-home arrangements, as well as potential health, dental & vision insurance, paid holidays, and paid time off.
This is a “direct-hire” opportunity and not a temporary or contract position.
REQUIREMENTS
A positive & curious attitude with a history of being a team-player
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering preferred,
Automotive or Specialty Vehicle experience preferred
Broad base of knowledge in selling systems
Strong writing, communication, organization and customer service skills
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
Experience with hybrid/electric vehicle systems is a plus
Proactive mentality with outstanding multitasking capabilities
Ability to function independently in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires the ability to walk, sit, and stand; communicate face-to-face, telephonically, and electronically; and lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Candidates must be able to accomplish the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
